Plot 65: A Tour

Yesterday was spent pottering and picking. Weeds were trimmed and everything that needed it watered - we've had a really dry spell lately - before the fun bit of liberating food from the ground. Broad beans, peas, beetroot, kale, strawberries, radishes, chard, spinach, tarragon, borage and lovage all came home with us in varying quantities
We've never grown borage before, but apparently will be forever now as it self-seeds prolifically. We've grown it in a container which will hopefully limit its spread a bit. The flowers really are pretty and have a great cucumbery flavour. I spent a disproportionate amount of time trying to get an in-focus pic of a bee on one, with limited results. Still getting the hang of the macro thing on this camera.

Talking of which, I thought I'd use the video function for once. So, here's a guided tour of our plot, in all its dubious glory.

  1. Your ground looks really dry! Thanks for the tour - it's strange to me seeing an enclosed plot as ours are open plan - no fences.

  2. A lovely tour Lee and plenty growing well. I think I would be ashamed to do a video tour of my plot right now...I really need to get stuck in!!

All comments gratefully received. Sorry about the word verification thing, but I've started getting bombed by spam.
